 As usual, health related services including hospitals, pharmacies and home nursing services will remain open in islamabad according to Health Officials in Islamabad. This comes as delegations from different countries, in particular Iran and US comes to islamabad to discuss halting the ongoing war and reopening the strait of Hormuz. The gov't of pakistan has increased the security in the twin cities and barred/extended the red zone area. Pakistan plays a positive role in halting the ongoing war and Islamabad being the city facilitating these negotiations is significant.

The shutdown of markets and closing of certain roads in islamabad April, 2026 has a toll on the residents but health related services continue to operate without hurdles. According to NurseNow, home nursing services have been consistent and unaffected by the ongoing situation with Nurses getting free pass on certain check points. Major hospitals like PIMS and al shifa, all roads leading to it are open are clear. Because of the situation, more people in islamabad are hiring nurses for Patient care at home.
